1.Choose a card that matches your needs
Of course if you can make sure to always pay off your balance in full every month, but for most of us that is never the case. Pick a credit card that is suited for your needs if you fly a lot get a card with frequent flyer miles. If you shop a lot get a card with cash back rewards... and of course the list goes on.
2. Don't fall for the scams or aka flashing credit card offers.
There are quite a few cards out there that offer you a low introductory rate but don't worry as soon as you default on a payment or your intro period is over your rate is going to sky rocket!

I think one of the hardest things to explain to people is what credit is and why you should listen to my advice. Because EVERYONE is going to tell you they know how credit bureaus work and how many points your gonna boost your score if you do this and that blah blah ....If you want your free report go to Annualcreditreport but even though a good majority of your loans, mortgages, credit cards etc. will be on this report, your not going to find out your FICO score or get to view all of your reports from all three bureaus Equifax Transunion and Experian. You will only get to choose one

Credit cards : how they work , and how they'll make you or break you
Most everywhere you go now accepts credit cards. There are four major credit card companies today that are most commonly used
Visa
Mastercard
American express
Discover
There are alot of BS scams and rip offs with credit card companies today, a good majority of them streaming out of las vegas under false names. They will start off by offering you an instant $7500 credit line with no credit (so far doesn't make any sense right?) and let you order out of there catalog?"well seems like a win win for them" theres always alot of small hidden fees also when you sign up for that brand new shiny credit card but chances are your being scammed if you have to pay $300 for an annual fee. I dont' know about you but I think I will pass on that offer. If you get a credit card offer from any other company it's most likely a rip off or scam

- Never spend more than 40 to 50% of your credit limit this will appear good to lenders and you will get a better score this way.(not to mention Its just a good way to maintain a good financial standing
- having a high credit limit can be a very good sign to lenders on your reports but don't abuse your credit limit and spend more than 50%
- Always make payments on time (one of the easiest ways to make sure your payments go through is to pay your credit card bills online , most banks / direct lenders will allow you to pay online, your payment will go through a lot faster if you use this method rather then sending your payment by mail).
- Always remember One small missed payment could ruin your score !
- Making the minimum payment is a horrible idea your never going to pay down your balance this way
- If you can once you have made a purchase with your credit card pay off the entire balance if possible or atleast a large portion of it.
- If you receiver a card offer with 0% introductory apr remember this will probably go away always check with your bank what the rate will rise to after the introductory period
Identity theft A growing problem with todays society.
If your worryed about someone stealing your identity

Personal Loans
If your looking to get a personal loan remember whatever you borrow your going to eventually have to pay back and even with a small apr % you will still end up giving your lender quite a chunk of change. My advice to you would be to start off with a small loan don't go out and take out a $10,000 loan to go out and party with and not have to lay around and work for two months
If you are looking for a personal loan but have limited credit history its probably going to be a lot tougher for you to get a personal loan especially an Unsecured pesonal loan (this is where you receive a loan through your lender without collateral) when I first started out with credit I used my vehicle as collateral, I had been applying with my bank for some time trying to receive a small loan of $2000.00 and they kept denying me but once I used the vehicle as collateral they approved me instantly.
"One of the biggest downfalls of applying is every inquire on your credit report will lower your score 5 to 20 points each time you apply just remember this before you fill out an application"
I myself have gone through a lot of loan companies some good some ridiculous but i've always been skeptical to trust payday lending companies. I've used two of them though in the past two years that have given me a very nice apr% to pay back and haven't robbed me blind those being: Cash central and cashnetusa.com I've given you a link below to check them out
Payday Loans? Try cash central I have used them several times and always had a good experience

Now anyone with any standing credit can apply now if your score is low you are going to have to deal with a lot more paperwork and hassle to get your loan. One other option if you need some quick money 200 to 1500$ you can get a payday loan where you will typically pay back 10$ to 30$ per one hundred dollars borrowed but if you need the money fast and don't have any credit this might be your best option Click Here to find out more about pay day loans.
